Gosh

awake @ 9am
It's hard to stay on the ball. I've almost finished this darn floor plan. Had issues with the stairs @ 10am - then it suddenly worked mysteriously. I wanna finish so I am not exploring what made the stair case work. I also need to do some foundations - concrete footing items. I did a 3d render of the work & it looked like this in the morning...
I have made a preliminary render of pustid to see what it would look like in 3d.

As the day progresses I find myself doing other things that are not on the list of things to do. I wonder if that is why I believe I am not getting stuff done or as fast as I would like... or am I really incable of the speed I imagine myself capable of?

I thought I was going to finish this floor plan today. But it doesn't look like that desire is going to be fullfilled, and Uncle Felix's stuff still needs to be done - like last week. I should contact the poor chap and let him know I've not forgotten to do his stuff & put him at ease that I shall soon be providing him with his graphic solution - which I'll document later.

I am not 100% doing this floor plan in 3d just yet - just what I find easy and then eventually I should take pictures of the awesome artwork on the walls and stick them onto the walls in the program and model all the columns organically like it should be.
Making money makes me do shoddy work. POOP
I think it'll be cool to put in the portfolio as a finished artwork - of a 3d render of the existing Coolrunnings. It's contemporary rustic and organic.

Ok - so I found the motherload of downloadable architectural books and stuff I am interested in. The only problem however is internet bandwith is digital gold till I get Mweb - which I'm still hoping to afford next month. 1 mo month P!
It's 8pm and I have pretty much done work all day long. I have managed to fight that urge to play / waste time and I don't feel any sense of accomplishment or anything. I guess that's ok. I've placed the fire extinguishers now I need to draw in the fire hoses and eventually windows and foundation. I need to make sure that they are the right kind as they will show on elevation. Outside bar and patio need to be included in the mess and I'm wondering where I'll find the right information to plot the beer garden from. I don't wanna make a trip to Jo'burg municipality just yet. Lets see if we can do it online. Once all that is done - then I'll work out the second floor - which shouldn't be a hassle and then the cieling - which I'm dreading - it's a bloody warehouse style item... can't remember the name - oh well - It will come to me.

Now I have an issue - and I can't resolve it on my own. I wanna hatch the barraca's but the fill region tool is putting the 2d pattern above the 3d components and relevant 2d detailed linework.

The dashed highlighted area is the bench and I need to put the filled region underneath that. This sucks. Even more so when we have a close up! ok - moving forward. Solution time. offsetting some (HIDDEN) Detailed Lines should do it. At Ground level obviously - so hierachy will prevail and the tables won't have lines through them.

it's not an elegant solution but if I keep it at this scale I should be ok - problems will arise if I scale it down to 1:100 where it will surely look congested. It's currently 1:50 so hopefully it'll keep like this. I need to learn me sum region fill.
I guess next time I should try to put a floor in - and change the visibility somehow. I'm sure that would work - but that's a lil bit late in the game. But me thinks it would be a cleaner - less potential for problems - answer to my problem of showing the barraccas as raised wooden decks.

9:19pm. LOL - this time yesterday I was knee deep in San Andreas. An oldie but a goodie.
ok - so I couldn't resist trying out what I just postulated - so I'm going to try on the other barracca - which is going to be a stage at a later stage - once I get the correct dimensions.
I went to edit type properties and thought I'd do it in there - but no - it didn't work out. I think that is just for section pattern hatch. Damnit!
11:30pm -Time to hit the hay.

Was going to add a sweet render but the computer crashed while I slept.
