This is a journal of my evolution of self as a designer.

I am going to master the adobe suite – photoshop, adobe illustrator and eventually after effects.

Revit and 3dmax are also on the agenda.

The risk of going with this plan is being the jack of all trades and being the master of none. But I feel that it is doable if I work through it steadily.

The first thing to be accomplished is the floor plans for the Site Development Plan for Grant Sadie’s Cool Runnings Fourways. The challenges are to get a aquainted with revit 2011 which is new to me. I am comfortable in 2009 but the key to my advancement in architectural capability is to be profficient in the latest BIM software.

Another challenge that needs to be overcome is the layout of an SDP – I need to make circulation document – and the only way around this is to go to municipality and get a copy.

2:20pm - done 5 squats and filed Mangi's cupboard fabrication - paperwork from Builders warehouse. Hope he deposits soon so we can build the 2 cupboards, and add it to the portfolio.

Looking for Grants floor plans - crap - I need to file stuff better - so I can find the easier...

OK - Day basically ended with my playing San Andreas for an hour as I waited for Linah so we could go see Sumit from PE @ Coolrunnings - where Fuzigish and some other awesome band were playing. I drank two pitchers of Black label - but remember Wayne and Grant asking for the floor plans for the Mellville branch. I hope they find them. But no biggie. I'll just send them over again when I send the Fourways ones.
